I just got a '78 Honda Express. It is missing the air filter assembly. I noticed this item to be pretty pricy. I am wondering if there is an alternative to the oem filter that I can use. (like one of those little disc/cylindrical shaped filters for a small intake?)

I just got a honda express with low miles. I got it running great and the muffler and the engine are sound. But when i got it it didn't have an air filter. When I find one to use on it will this dampen out the excessive sound? Also, is there anything other than the oem air filter that I can...
