My dad hasn't used his Ps3 in about 7 months. When he tried to use it, it wouldn't read any discs, including movies. The last thing he played was COD 6 if it helps Any ideas as to how to fix it??

When i've clicked save to PC it says to place my sheet under on the platen glass and press the diamond shaped button. I've clicked it several times and held it but it won't scan, it just stays at the screen
