A friend gave me an old aquarium heater called the Supreme Heetmaster mod II, made by Penn Plax. He doesn't have the box or instruction booklet anymore. Does anyone know how to adjust it? It has a dial with numbers on it, and I set it to 2. It goes from 1-8, but I don't know what the numbers...

I saved all of my finished projects from a computer class on my flash drive, but they were all done on either Adobe Illustrator or Photoshop. I don't want to spend hundreds of dollars on those programs. What are some alternative free programs (no viruses) that can open one or both file types?
