    Strange Sound From My Car?

    I get a grinding sound from the back of my car after I apply the breaks. It continues after I release the breaks and keep moving. However, it only lasts for a short time (1 minutes at most; not even). The strange thing: it does not always make the noise. Is it my break pads maybe?? Thanks.
