I did a d16y8 swap in my 97 civic ex Vtec, and the check engine light is on. It says its a Vtec Malfunction, also my Vtec is not workin/kickin in, it usually hits at about 3 grand RPM, Ive checked the Vtec Cylinoid n i don't think thats it. Help . anyone that knows about d series civics.

i have put in intake fuel filter air filter tps sensor dont know what to do . can u help. it starts n runs . idols fine, but when i give it gas while in gear it spits/sputers, what can i do
