Watching Movies On TV When You've Got The DVD

The Strangers - Anyone Else Dislike This?

Thought it was quite good actually. Are any of the people who didn't like it watching it at night with 5.1 surround sound? Film has a good sound track , adRAB a lot to the suspense and fear.

    The best child stars?

Freddie Bartholomew Natalie Wood Jackie Cooper and Ricky Schroder, both where great in "The Champ (1931 & 1979)". Jackie Cooper, much later, played Perry White in the Superman movie. Jodelle Ferland: in the "Dead Like Me: pilot" and "Silent Hill". .

    Coverfield was total trash

Wow, what a depressing thread. Cloverfield was bone-fide genius filmmaking, probably one of the 10 best US movies of the decade. It's a crime that that the script was not oscar nominated (and no I'm not joking in case anyone thinks that...) I've never seen a film play just as rushes (unedited...

Too Many Teenagers In Horror Movies

Saw a trailer for The Wolfman starring Benicio Del Toro yesterday. I'm not sure whether this will strictly be a horror, but it certainly seemed more old school. Has Anthony Hopkins in as a starring role as well and Emily Blunt, so a pretty credible cast for the genre.

Slumdog Millionaire - What a wonderful film

A question to those that have seen it. Is there a lot of subtitling in this film? I know it's a brit film, but I heard on the radio that a lot of it is in hindi?? It's just that my o/h cannot read, so I won't drag him along and make him uncomfortable if that is the case.

    Planet Terror

Actually, now I re-read the question I realise I don't really know what the UK DVD will have on it. I was talking about the R1 DVD I've got. RegarRAB Mark

Classic/Iconic/Art films you think are rubbish

Agree on both of these... A Bout De Souffle made me angry. Its so dull....and pointless and pretentious and I just hate it to be honest, and I will never understand the love. Brick is okay but so overrated and just because the lead is less of a tw*t than the rest of the characters doesn't mean...

Free binaries at cheapernews.com this week

Cheapernews, isnt' this the "new" Giganews off spring? I've heard rumors that another "wholesale" usenet provider is out there, and is actually Giganews, branded with a different name to compete with Astraweb. Personal experience, stick with what you know....Giganews, Newsdemon, and Astraweb...
