I totally agree with you, Dench was a revelation, Mirren very much looked the part and Hollywood loves royalty, not disputing that Mirren's a great actress but I don't think she was the best last year.

I summed it up to a friend about an hour ago. Saw is not for everyone, hell, it is not for most people, but, for a certain type of person, it's brilliant. I hate horror films, I got sickened to boredom with them when I was a young kid, but, I like the Saw movies, as does thankfully my wife...
