Took my bike to the dealer, and they said to run regular(87 octane) only. I had been running mid-grade(89 octane). They want me to bring it back Monday and they will check out the carbs. So this weekend I'm going on a long ride and try to run a couple tanks of fuel through it.

Sounds real low. My 2006 C50T with 13,000 miles on it (had it since new) goes from a low through the Colorado Rockies of 42 mpg to 53-55 mpg through the Kansas Plains. I guess average combined would be 47 - 49 city/hwy. By the way, in those 13,000 miles, the bike has been completely flawless...
