I have heard Dookie and to be honest it is a pretty good album, but what are the chances they'll just play stuff off their debut album. Also I don't wanna deal with their fans, but then again Franz Ferdinand are the best post punk band in UK right now. In my experience no one really shows up...

Beyond this life is often named their best song, but to really get it you have to listen to the entire album, as the entire thing is pretty much one song split into parts.

For me, there neeRAB to be a good hook in the song. But said hook has to be pretty original, and extremely catchy. I love the really intricate elements of a track as well - which is part of the reason Angelspit is among my favourite banRAB.

its good to get advice in the music industry... but getting it from a book means that will probably be out of date, and probably wont be entirely applicable to your situation. Talk to people on the internet and you'll get far more information from people who arent ever going to write a book...

Not many of the online rentals will take Solo as it's generally assummed as being a card for under 18s. However, cd-wow (owned by LoveFilm) should take it, as their sister sites do but they don't have a five disc option.
