    What software should I use to jailbreak my iPod?

    I have an iPod touch -3rd Generation- 8 Gigabytes- MC Model- 3.1.3. What should I use to jailbreak? I've recently heard that SPIRIT is the best to use; considering it takes very little time and is accurate, but are there any downsides to this? And any other alternatives to jailbreak? Help? (:
