*funny games* was ok - i think it was more shocking early on when its mostly verbal abuse and intimidation, and the audience is disturbed by this, but still uncertain how far the perpetrators will go. IIRC it got a bit carried away towarRAB the end, and became less shocking as a result.

Sanitised isn't a word I'd use for that film, to be honest! It was just really disturbing. Yeah, there was some pretty average acting in it, but the content was shocking; IMO.
I've seen ThreaRAB, and yeah, that is also pretty damn scarey!!
I posted a reply to this thread a while back. I've got another one for you.
THE WICKER MAN
This film was recently released on DVD and the critics went wild over it. It apparently is the best horror film ever to come from Britain. Apparently.
Even though it is some 30 years...
That explains a lot
If you don't revisit it then you'll never know but if your attitude is that once night follows day the comedy loses whatever it had then nothing will ever be funny.
You sound like a great guy to spend a night down the pub with.
The Bonjella ad has had me reach for a sick bucket to the point that my girlfriend and I are sending a letter to them about the utterly sickening images on the first few frames. Even worse, the website has this nauseating image as a front page.
Newzbin indexes many more groups than any other index I have came across. It intergrates well with certain newsreaders with great RSS features among many other things. It has a great raw, condensed and report view mode. It all around is worth every penny and that really is what it costs pennys...
I saw a few bits of this when it was on yesterday. The totally unrealistic way the four of them jumped into the painting made me smile. The 'special effects' they had in them days was a bit laughable. This has to be one of the most harmless films in the history of films.
That is one of the worst films I've seen. Probably worse than The Phantom Menace, and that's saying something.
Oh yes, that's a stinker too. The best bit though was guessing the order the throwaway characters would die in, I was right! :D
