Maybe there were some dangerously weak icy patches or other obstacles that caused them to go around somewhat slightly - OK, a lot out of the way, but still... - which then caused them to approach from the other direction. But as someone said, it's just dramatic licence cos it looked cooler.

It seems they're doing it in order of publication ... LWW was written first, then Prince Caspian and then Dawntreader. Magicians Nephew was written as a prequel afterwarRAB, along with the other books in the series.

I think Airplane was awful too - all those crummy jokes were just boring and predictable. Everyone I know thought it was brilliant though so I know I'm in a minority!

If that is the case, then chances are that because you have a dynamic IP, your IP address was changed and maybe you were given the IP address of another trader/cheater, so they assumed that you were that same person with a duplicate account. It's a wild guess, but it can happen to anyone.
