    well, i guess they have meanings, but i'm not so much into the lyrical aspects of songs. for me, it's the song itself, the instrumental parts and melody etc is what i look for in music, and shinedown just doesn't do it for me. and believe me, i've heard plenty of them, philly stations play...

    Hard to really pick the worst band when I try not to pay attention to things I don't like. Arcade Fire are particularly grating, but there is far worst. As mentioned, Southern hip-hop is a good place to start.
