i am having trouble. like i cant get it to make any noise when i get a text message or to set a calendar. it is all set properly (i believe) but nothing is ever heard... do i need to know anything, or would anyone contact me please

At some point I would like to have a nice sounding stereo. I don't need it to bump like being in a competition. Buþ I do like to feel the music. What do I need to get. I know I would need an amp for subs but there are different sizes right? Also how do I kno what size for my stereo cd player...
