    When I push a tape into my Panasonic Omnivision DVD/VCR combo?

    the tape gets stuck half-way and the whole machine turns off. I have to fish the tape out before the VCR will turn back on. Any suggestions? If anyone suggests a DVR, that stopped working as well, which is why I pulled the VCR out of storage.
