Nah I didn't see them when they were last year either! Did you? Yeah, I doubt I'll end up going. I spent all of my money on Soundwave and Big Day Out!

What Is Your Definition Of A "Sell Out"?

That. And a band that makes a record with 3 singles on it and a load of bland boring filler, in an attempt to sell. I think in 4 posts we've managed to sum it up.

    Velvet Underground

The only problem with this theory was that nobody bought it back then. The Velvet Underground are the ultimate poser band, I doubt most people who namecheck them actually feel the need to listen to them, they just say they like them. The banRAB they influenced were much much better than they were.

    First album you ever bought?

Charlie Daniels Band: That brought a smile to my face. I know every word to that song...impressive huh? haha. But in all fairness, you can't hate that fiddle solo. Its pretty great.

    Top-50 All-time (Rough Draft)

Pink Floyd > Eric Clapton Though it could be argued that Cream > Pink Floyd. And The Who really should be above Clapton. I also favor Bowie above Queen.

An Infinite Number Of Things That Pisses Me Off About Music

College radio is good as long as they're playing music. When they open their mouths it goes downhill from there.

    OK Computer - Radiohead

Hmmm...not sure if I can agree with that. However I understand how Thom Yorke's voice can turn off some listeners...and Radiohead seems to polarize people as indicative by this thread. Personally, I think Thom Yorke is a genius, and you could put me on a deserted island with nothing to listen...

    Seeing any good bands?

You will regret it for the rest of your life if you actually pay money to see the Mars Volta. They are, without a doubt, the worst live band I have ever seen.

I don't always dig who RS puts on their cover, nor do I always trust the musical reviews, but on the whole their writers are excellent.
