    Fawlty Towers

Is it Major Twitchen, who has a twitchy eye? And Mrs Hall who is very small? Basil gets terribly flustered and gets everyones names wrong. This thread is such a treat. What a great show Fawlty Towers is/was. :D

    News: Sandvine's P2P Filter

The HTTP 1.1 specs (rfc 2616) introduced the CONNECT command for proxies. Upon receiving the http proxy then creates an outgoing connection to the requested host and sends a 200-reply if successful including a couple of other headers terminated by "\r\n\r\n" but after that the proxy simply...

    The Restaurant 2009

I agree. Before The Restaurant last year, I would have watched this programme with interest. I love cooking and had a high opinion of RB. But as soon as the adverts started, I realised I have lost all respect for him now, so I won't be watching.

    Sub Sections For NZB

And why not? IMO,it's not really a bad idea. But...most of the time it's only movies that get posted here so I think the other sections would be quite empty all the time. Maybe better to use tags? [Mov] [Soft] [Game] [Music] [Misc]

    Climbing Great Buildings : ITV1

Can't believe the hostile comments about this series. There was a similar letter in last week's rRadio Times, and a positive reply in this week's. I found it thoroughly absorbing. I didn't mind at all the 'inane' comments of 'Lu' in her foil-trpe role to Jonathan; in fact, it was quite amusing...

    BBC2 Horror Double Bill

I fondly remember seeing several of the ITV showings in the 90s, and have since picked up a lot of the Universal monsters series in particular. Would be great to see these classic films exposed to a new generation instead of endless inferior remakes.
