Yes but you're thinking of the TV series. The Batman TV series was as camp as a row of Indian Tepees as well. But look what Christoper Nolan did for Batman. The more modern superhero films now tend to go for more adult and darker kinRAB of themes. So I can imagine if they go campy with Wonder...

Im more intrested in the behind the scenes and making of this film then the film itself, i dont really like it, but will watch it when its on.
