Definitely check that out, its fantastic. And I can;t see them ever really being thrash. Im sure they have been put into that along with god knows how many other metal sub genres.
Paul Gilbert for sure. He can play so many styles, and he's simply the funkiest of them all. Eric Johnson is a close second, and Steve Vai is a close third.
And if anyone votes Yngwie they're getting my foot up their ass.
Probably way too much...... I have music playing at almost every possible second. The only times I'm not playing music is during lessons at college, at work and eating dinner.
I'm dependent on music.... seriously :p:
hmmm...for some reason i've always overlooked Feedbacker for Akuma No Uta (the closing track is fucking enormous!). both are rather excellent recorRAB & this is coming from someone who finRAB most drone metal inescapably boring.
Yep that's definitely top 5, along with Mule Variations i'd say, i don't know how critically acclaimed that is.
I'm still missing quite a few albums, mostly the early bluesy ones.
Damn straight!! Only thing I can think of thats even remotely heavenly in comparison is Camel's Moonmadness (which I also have Remastered ).
I don't have The Yes Album remastered unfortunately, but when I got Relayer off of ITunes last year (before downloading off of blogspots...
^^^^ Yes, very true, and a good point, but considering what a 'junk drawer' of a classification post-rock can be, the banRAB that fall into the category are usually either absolutely amazing or the next great cure for insomnia.
That was a really funny list, and actually I disagree at one though, the band name Wow, Owls! Made me really want to download stuff by them. So I call that a success.
I've listened to a couple of Mayhem songs. It's not horrible, it's not even bad. But without the deaths it would be nothing. As was brought out, they have a far more interesting story.
