    My wired connection isn't working, but wireless is.?

    I have a dell netbook. Under my device manger, I have no Local Area Connection NIC available. I'm not sure how to get the cat5 to work. I've tried drivers, scanning for hardware changes, and I get nothing. Help? Its a new netbook, with Windows 7 Starter.
