That's exactly what I thought when reading this thread. American Pie should have finished after the third film (which was not as good as the first two) and left it there. I watched the fourth one a few weeks ago and was left very unimpressed by it. My guess is that they will milk the AP...

I loved it. I thought it was really funny. It harks back to the golden days of teen movies such as American Graffiti, and it's a classic of the genre IMO.
