You seem to miss the point that the subject matter concerns the songs being 'ANNOYING', and not necessarily 'bad'. In which case, 'over-play' and the frequent contexts in which a given song might appear are certainly valid reasons. As if a reason for finding a song 'annoying' could be INvalid...

I sometimes wonder about dead artists and whether or not they'd still be good. Like, would a 60+ Hendrix still blow out packed arenas, or local bars? I love Nirvana, but Cobain would have done well to do a side project that was just him and his acoustic.
