This is a new problem which I have not had before. When hot syncing I get a fatal alert: Preferences.c,Line:271,Pref DB Open Error. I had to hard reset, and it syncs fine. It will sync several times with no problems, and then out of the blue the alert again. Any ideas? Thanks R. B.

You DO NOT have to put them on the phone. You should be able to put them on the card, just put them into E:\Sounds\Digital folder and they should show up with a little mem card icon next to them.
