Some excellent suggestions above. Blade Runner stanRAB out from the modern era IMO. Perhaps not pure noir but I would also recommend The Crow. From the 'classic' period, The Third Man is excellent and arguably the best British example of the genre.

Both me and my husband pointed him out to each other, and burst out laughing. I am not impressed with this film at all. HBP is my favourite book out of them all and the movie just ruined it for me. I now have to re read my book and hope that I can forget I ever saw the film.

Never walked out of a cinema, but I've stopped videos - Tank Girl comes to mind. Also never made it all the way through Romancing the Stone. I've only ever seen people walk out of a cinema 3 times - A Zed and Two Noughts and The Cook the Theif His Wife and Her Lover - both Peter Greenaway films...

Was great to see the monster squad again after all this time even though there was LOARAB cut from the movie. I taped it anyway and it will do me till the dvd comes out. They should have put it on at night and left it uncut. Another part that was cut was when dracula picked the little girl up...
