    Do Ford motor cars come glued together?

    A piece of door trim started falling off my 03 Ford Fiesta the other day. I can now see that it was glued on. Is this how the car was originally put together, or has someone previously "repaired" it? It's not a supporting part, it's just the black plastic strip next to the window on the rear door.
