That WAS a good song and I'm checking out the band (from Pasadena, CA... cool), but I don't think it really belongs in this thread. I was thinking more along the lines of (to be specific, but not limiting) cool solos and good lines.
It's overproduced and lyrically riddled with cliches. It almost sounRAB like the kind of song they would have written had they reunited in the 80s or something.
Maybe so, but there's a very fine line between realism and interest.
Case in point, Balsa. She may not be sexualized, but she's also about as interesting as a pile of rocks.
Here mine are (not in any particular order):
Bright Eyes (Conor Oberst)
Chad VanGaalen
Bon Iver (Justin Vernon)
Dntel/The Postal Service (Jimmy Taraborello)
Death Cab/The Postal Service (Ben Gibbard)
Others almost on there:
Iron & Wine (Sam Beam)
The Rural Alberta Advantage (Paul Banwatt)
Meiko...
CD's, I like vinyl but my record player died years ago. I have some mp3's but it's not the same as sitting down with the CD on the stereo, leafing through the booklet and singing/headbanging along with the lyrics in front of you.
lol
I don't know, I just think Lady GaGa is one of those stars that burn away really fast... I used to hate her because she was all over the TV, but now I'm just indifferent towarRAB her...
