My tip for a great thought provoking movie

And in Scotland. It's a fantastic film - completely took me by surprise. Andrew Garfield was quite astonishing and Peter Mullen was as reliable as ever. Very sensitively handled and incredibly moving.

    Chocolat

Having nothing better to do tonight I trolled around the tv channels looking for something to watch. At first Chocolat on BBC2 sounded a poor choice, but I do love some of the cast members Judy Dench Jonny Depp and Alfred Molina. I was very glad I watched it, as its an extremly well crafted...

Open Water - spoiler if not watched??

After watching an hour of this film I turned it off because it was so bad. I took it back to blockbusters and told them it was that bad that they gave me a free rental :D

    X-Men 3

Heck I dont even belive Jean/Phoenix is dead just like in the cartoon series, guess a phoenix can rise from the ashes once more ;) And it was never confirmed she killed cyclops either although she did kill someone. It would have been great if the full xmen team were there all working as a team...

Is 'The Boat That Rocked' a flop?

I didnt think that all the critics panned it, if i remember rightly Jonathan Ross said it was really good and a nice film? I havent watched it as it isnt really my cup of tea but I am sure that some reviews have said it is a good film.

    U2 3D here we go!

Actually, I went to see it today as I had some spare time and I think they're an ok band for a rock group (although a lot of their songs do sound like anthems which for me becomes unenthusing after a while). Anyway - it was quite good. The 3D wasn't the things popping right up to your face...

    Johnny Depp- Like/Dislike?

I really like him, though I fear somewhat that he is becoming a caraicature of himself with the quirky roles, or maybe just the POTC trilogy? I LOVED his earlier stuff, What's eating Gilbert Grape was so touching and Benny and Joon is adorable. Really love that film! I think it was Edward...

    Kidulthood (merged)

I saw this film a few months ago in a press screening and I thought it was brilliant. I am from the area of London which it is based and I found it a true reflection on what like is like for teenagers today. I would say go and see it, yes parents will be shocked (but hey its time we woke up...

Unsatisfactory and Unresolved loose-ends in Revenge Of The Sith

There are a couple of things that still puzzle me. maybe someone would be so kind as to offer some kind of explanation: 1) How come the jedi don't sense the change in Anakin before he turns to the dark side. He broke the jedi code by loving and marrying padme. Surely the jedi council would...

    Time for an Exorcist remake?

I was not asking you if they were based on a true story. I was telling you. You don't have to believe if the events are true or not. These events were reported, witnessed and documented by credible sourses from all sided of the spectrum. A film was made about both of them, therefore, as I...

Return of the King - Christopher Lee snub

I think that the 'saruman story' has to be finished on the films. Of course, i know what happens in the books cos i've read it but because they don't have the scouring of the shire they need to finish it off differently. I just can't wait another year to find out.
