I would go with the 9700 personally. QWERTY keypad will win every time if you plan on doing any amount of typing. Emails are much easier with a physical keyboard. It really comes down to personal preference and what fits your needs the best.

True, but a comment on the bold. The higher-res smaller screen is actually a negative for media playback. The HD2's screen is far closer to the 16:9 aspect ratio which means more of the screen gets utilized during widescreen video playback. Moreover size actually does matter especially for media...
