Are Ford and Mazda associated in manutacturing of Mazda?

The only current Mazda model made in the States is the 6, which is built in Flat Rock, Michigan, alongside the Ford Mustang. Mazda has said that the next version of the 6 will be built elsewhere. Ford used to own 33.4 percent of Mazda, enough for control under Japanese law, but has sold most...

    Mazda 626 transmission question!?

From what I know about the GF4A-EL, it didn't change much from '93 to '02 (when it was finally retired); Mazda changed the ECMs in '98 when they went to distributorless ignition, but the GF was always computer-controlled and it's a lot easier to tweak firmware than to change a transmission with...

Does an 89 Mazda 626 AC use Freon or 134a?

R12 was almost universal until the mid-90s; unless this car was previously converted manually, it's almost certainly expecting R12.

Is there a MAZDA 626 from 1987-1996 RWD?

The last RWD 626 appeared in 1982; after that, Mazda switched to a FWD platform.

I've Mazda 626 LX 1999 just put a rebuild Transmission, I hear noise when driving?

I'd suspect the drive axles - perhaps not perfectly seated.

i have a 1997 mazda 626....the rear side light went out and i cant find out how to...

It's a friction fit: you'll need to pry out the lens assembly, very carefully. (Drape a rag over whatever tool you're using, so as to protect the paint.)

    Overdrive in a 2000 Mazda 626 ES?

Assuming you have the four-cylinder (else you would have said ES-V6), there's seldom any need to turn off the overdrive; I drove one of these cars through the Rockies and the Appalachians - not simultaneously - and if it needed a lower gear, it found it just fine without my assistance.

What other years are compatible with a 1995 mazda millenia?

There was only one generation of Millenia, which ran from '95 to '02. Individual parts, however, may have changed during that period. Two different engines were offered: the 2.3 Miller-cycle supercharged V6, and the 2.5 V6 from the 626.

At one time did GM have a flat head straight 6 & 8 in the oldsmobile and the pontiac?

Olds didn't get an OHV engine until the Rocket 88, circa 1949; Pontiac soldiered on with its old flathead engines until 1955. And yes, both straight sixes and eights were available. Buick - David Dunbar Buick, his own self - actually invented overhead valves.

How do I change the fuel pump on my Mazda 626?

You'll have to drop the tank, and you'll need to disconnect the pre-silencer exhaust pipe to get to it. And I believe (I had a '93, but this was a while back) that there's a locking cam to hold the pump in place, which requires either a special tool or a whole lot of elbow grease. Before you...

    Mazda 6 Car advice? gears?

It's trying to save you some fuel. Nothing more complicated than that. If you floor it, it will delay the upshift to a higher speed, but that also uses more fuel.
