Work offline was not checked yet it still shows me as offline in my chat status. Deleting yahoo won't mess up my account or my family's yahoo accounts? How do I delete it and reinstall it anyway? Will I still have my contacts if I delete it?

It keeps saying im offline and wont let me change my chat status. It also won't show if my contacts are on or offline. I can still recieve E-mails.
