    In the coast guard, you would save lives. You don't earn a lot of respects from the civilians or other service members until they are stranded out in the sea.

    If you just want to sit back and relax, I suggest you not to join in the Services. In any branches, you would have to work your ass off and you still have a chance to fight no matter what job you have in the military. Edit - I forgot you can just join a clan on CoD
