    I have a Nikon D80 and I'm trying to take photos in Manual setting, can't set shutter

    you've got to give us more info: Checked the regular: lens cap, fresh batteries, battery and card doors closed properly, lens seated properly? Are you taking a night photo? Meter reading does not move even when shutter speed set to B? Does camera work OK in P mode?
