    Can you have a phone with T-mobile without a contract?

    I want to buy the Blackberry Bold 9700 but it's only with T-mobile & those are the phones that require a SIM card so it can't be flashed to those NO CONTRACT plans. But I' mwondering could i but the phone unlocked on craigslist or E-bay & then just buy a sim card and be on a NON contract plan...
