    if you sign for a bond to sale cars for someone else and something happens to that person?

    are you legally responsible for whats left on the bond? my uncle is a used car dealer and has filed bancruptsy and has asked my dad to get the bond in his name! i am concerned for him because his brother 88 yrs old and am afraid he will be left holding the bill. please help
