    Why can't people see what I type in Yahoo Chat?

    I pick a chat room in Yahoo Chat, then I enter the letters and numbers that prove I'm not a bot. However, once I'm in the chat room, my name is "none" in light gray letters. I can see what others are typing, but they can't see what I'm typing, even though my sentences appear in the room.
