    What is this "special candle" I saw on PBS?

    I was watching Ciao Italia and saw at the end of the show, the host's guest made this "special birthday candle" that was like a hollow wax paper cylinder or something (I'm not sure). You would light the top of it, and it would burn down to the bottom, and when it did, all the left over carbon...
