    how to shine up the flakes in metallic paint?

    I painted my car door with metallic paint. At first glance it looks good but when you look closer, the door doesn't have the same type of pop from the metallic flakes that the rest of the car has. Is there a way to bring out the metallic flake? Maybe a rubbing compound?
