    What DSLR Camera Shud I buy in 700$ range (or a bit this way or that way)...?

    I am planning to Gift my gf's younger sister a DSLR this Halloween..She's 16 and never used a big camera, but she likes photography... I have in mind CANON EOS 1000D or NIKON D3000 Any other good suggestions?? Not too high range...Just beginners level....
