The 'age of enlightenment' worked in the minds of some of the rulers of 18th century Europe. Maybe it will work in the minds of some of today's religionists who choose to understand life on earth as a function of faith based wishful thinking.

All ancient men were pushovers for bears, tigers, lions, and the like. But they had a better brain. A 'tool maker and user of tools' type of brain. This brain won the day, but it took its sweet time.
