the person you are talking to? I saw a conversation where the person speaking was referring to the other person as "minh" as in "you". I've seen people use "minh" to refer to themselves, but never to refer to another person.

good question, i was raised in the south, and that's just how you eat breakfast. i guess it comes down to the culture you live in. what you learn as a child stays with you. it sure is good though! a little syrup touching the eggs never hurt anyone, just makes sweet eggs!
