Duckula I believe got the then standard syndication package of 65 episodes because it was an American co-production. Danger Mouse kept on going and going because it was really popular. If a British animated series lasted 6 to 13 episodes, it would generally because it was only intended to be one...

There's a few "13-episode blink-and-you-miss-it cartoons" that have DVD releases, so it was not a one-off thing. Unfortunately it looks like it was just a region 2 release and it's currently out of print. :( There was also a short 3D animation done on Neal Adams website a while back.

Yeah, I'd give this a chance, personally. It does seem kind of sad that the original concept was mangled into this, though. Then again, I've never seen the original show, so maybe it just wouldn't have worked or something.

Just because the show has had a few unfunny episodes during the last several years doesn't tarnish its legacy. I mean, there were plenty of unfunny episodes during the first two seasons of The Simpsons.
