When I turn the wheel I can hear a knocking sound on the driver side wheel. I can move the wheel back and forth by hand a little and get it to make the same sound. Any hints on what this might be? Thank you.

My car was running rough, so I put some STP cleaner in the gas tank, it runs fine, but now the check engine light is on. Does anyone have any hints of what might be causing this? Maybe when I fill up with new gas it will go back to normal? Is there a reset button for the check engine light? And...
