Nokia's North American models (ie. N95-3, N95-4, etc) do not come with the native Instant Messenger Client.
In fact, neither do Sony Ericsson's North American models. Not sure about other OEMs.

I would pick the Motorola XT 720. 8 megapixel camera, Xenon flash, and Android has direct operating system support to uploading pictures. Any social networking app you add, also adds a service for you to directly upload any pic or video directly from the Gallery to the social networking site...
