    Do it yourself? Purchase some inexpensive dog shampoo. Bathe the dog either outside (if weather is warm enough) or in a bathtub, or laundry tub depending on the size of the dog. Brushes can run fairly cheap as well - $8 or so. Purchase a brush and go to work on the coat. If he needs to be...

    I don't really see a problem with it unless you don't give her an opportunity to exercise at all, or are not making sure that she is secure in the basket. If you're going slow anyways, maybe letting her run alongside your bike until she tires would be an idea? Then put her in the basket after.
