Verizon does this. Does SPRINT? Well, the only reason i ask is because I went into a sprint store and they said you still had to sign a contract. Even with my own phone. I just didnt know if he was lying to get a sale. But if a store wont activate it, Im not sure who to call.

You can call customer service and ask for an "early upgrade exception" which they basically just search out your criteria in their computer system. You might be able to get one early. But honestly, verizon is not one for being lenient with early upgrades. It costs the company money because...

Glyde is *literaly* the worst phone Verizon ever had. I worked in their cust service for over a year and it was by far the one with the most warranty replacements. It was almost a running joke there, like "no wonder they are mad, they have glyde.." Get the Envy Touch. LG is a much better phone.

It completely depends on your acct. (how much you pay a month, your payment history..etc..) The computer will actually tell them, they dont decide. You can also call cust service since sometimes stores cant "bill to acct". Or just ask if they do it upfront, and if so then have them check...
