i have a 1964 ford fairlane 500 it currently has a 260 or a 289 i havent decoded it yet i want to put in a bigger motor what motors would fit i was thinkin 390 with a c6 tranny behind it i am not affraid of modifying anything but i want to try not to mess with the motor mounts

i am investing in some rims for my 1969 thunderbird but dont know the wheel bolt pattern or the bolt circle size and im not sure how to measure these things and the backspacing.

what engine would i find in a 1950-56 ford pick-up i saw one for sale in amherst,ohio and didnt get a chance to take a in-depth look what motor would most likly be in it(i think its a 56)
