I am not sure since it is carrier branded but if it works on other networks in North America it will probably work in UK but no 3G, just GSM. I brought my old 5800 and my N86 both bought unlocked and they worked using GSM in Sweden on prepaid.

i just go in settings > wireless & networks > mobile networks > select network & choose 2g, 3g or automatic. i know it's not ideal (about 6 taps), but until the widgets catch up....
