OMG! That was him in Liar, Liar?! I've seen that movie about 1000 times and I never noticed!

    Saw

    This movie was AWESOME!

    Saw

Leigh Whannell (the writer of the movie) has talked about his inspiration for a lot of the scenes, scenarios, etc., at this one message board called House of Jigsaw (I don't think you're allowed to advertise other message boards at FF, but just do a google search and I'm sure you'll find the...

That part was supposed to be funny, since he was so obviously faking it.

    Saw

Shocked in a good way or a bad way? Side note: I saw this for the third time on Friday. I love it. :D

    Saw

This is the review I posted at the House of Jigsaw board (where director James Wan and writer/actor Leigh Whannell post from time to time): After seeing it twice already, here are my thoughts... I thought this film was extrordinary. The writing, directing, cinematography--I was floored. And I...

    Saw

I didn't notice any rock music. I must have been concentrating too much on the plot. As for the car chase, it wasn't as bad because that scene and the part where Dr. Gordon cuts off his foot were edited together. So it wasn't just one long car chase dragging on forever. But I do know what...

Closer - Jude Law, Natalie Portman, Clive Owen, Julia Roberts

I didn't see a thread for this movie, so I thought I'd start one. I saw Closer last night with my boyfriend. I'm still not really sure what to think of it. It was good, I guess. Very... dark, in a way. It wasn't what I was expecting. But I enjoyed it. And my boyfriend LOVED it. I thought the...

Not as funny as I was expecting, but not bad. :)

    White Noise. Good or not?

I thought it was one of the better scary movies I've seen in a while. And I've seen a lot!

Closer - Jude Law, Natalie Portman, Clive Owen, Julia Roberts

An intriguing story of passion, drama, love, and abandonment involving two couples, which only gets more complicated when the man from the first couple gets acquainted with the woman from the second coupling. It's pretty much about sex and affairs. It stars Julia Roberts, Jude Law, Natalie...

Closer - Jude Law, Natalie Portman, Clive Owen, Julia Roberts

Typical guy indeed. :P I was really surprised Anna got back together with him in the end. I would have been afraid of him, especially after their initial break up scene. He was scary during that part. :look:

Closer - Jude Law, Natalie Portman, Clive Owen, Julia Roberts

Those are pretty much my feelings in a nutshell. Although I didn't really care for Clive Owen's character. He kinda bothered me...

Movie Roles That Change The Way You Look At The Actor

I agree! I hate Jennifer Garner! As for actors that changed the way I see them (great topic, by the way! ), these are my choices: Ashton Kutcher in The Butterfly Effect. This one has been mentioned already, but I completely agree. His performance totally surprised me and blew me...

Why write down an asset's value on a balance sheet as less than it really is?

Why do companies do that? For instance why did Barclays sell BGI for a price £6.2 bn higher than it was recorded at on their balance sheet? What benefit does this give them?
