I have a 1988 jeep wrangler that has 2.5l and 5 speed with a np231 transfer case and it blew up and i was wondering if a np219 would work to replace it for now? If it will is there anything i need to customize to get it to work?

I have a 1964 chevy 327 375 hp motor that had the fuel injection that i want to rebuild. The block has rust so does the heads. The only thing i don't have is the crank but am wondering if a 350 or 305 crank will work.
