Just an fyi....Bell is running a promo where you get $5 off the Superchannel price for the next 2 months. So essentially you can get it for $8 /mnth (assuming you have 6 themes or more).

    Nothing.

    ExpressVu and Tivo

Tivo controls the BEV receiver through an IR Blaster. Its bascially a little ir emitter that acts the same as a remote control. The Tivo will be connected through an A/V cable to the receiver.

    # of Receivers

Igster, for that many tuners I would highly recommend looking into DPP Technology. I believe there is a sticky that discusses this. Essentially you would need a DPP Lnb and DPP 44 Switch. It will run you just over $100 on ebay.

ExpressVu 9242 HD PVR Discussion thread for Owners Only!

Got my 9242 setup yesterday that I picked up during the BB sale (couldn't resist that price point). I didn't think I would like the black finish but now that its sitting next to one of my 9200's I can say that the black definitely blends in better! Of course I was dreading the activation call...

    Superchannel Pricing?

Just called Bell and the cheapest you can get Superchannel Pack for is $13. There is no discount if you already have TMN/MC. Oh well, no way I'm adding another $13 to my monthly bill for these marginal channels. Guess my wife will have to find another way to get her Passions fix ;)

    Expressvu price increase

Whats up with Bell lately? As of September they are dropping the $5 digital bundle discount, they no longer offer the $5 for 1000 min long distance plan, and now they are increasing their Satellite rates significantly. I guess I'm glad I got in last December while they were trying to scoop up...

Telus will distribute Bell satellite TV in Alberta and BC

I'd be curious to know if Bell equipment would be transferrable to the Telus Satellite service in order to take advantage of the bundling discounts.

    Official 3200 Thread

I had the same experience when I went to buy a second one for myself :( Bell will not budge on selling this unit with a kit to an existing customer. Oh well, in the end it worked out for me cause now I have a 9200. This combination works great for my family of 4. However, I can't decide what to...

2-TV Solution: 2 Question as a 3 year old member decides to leave BTV

StarNoChoice, the easiest way for you to do the Sat Winback with Shaw is to pick up a couple of old/used/broken receivers on craigslist or kijiji and trade those in. Since you are a Bell customer all you would need to give to Shaw would be the receivers and a copy of your latest bill. There is...

Telus will distribute Bell satellite TV in Alberta and BC

Wonder if we will see Telus branded sat receivers out here. Will current Bell customers be migrated over to Telus? Unfortunately both companies have terrible customer service so that likely won't change for the better.
